Clients
The Africa Creative site is a business-to-business site. This means that we
supply to commercial entities such as corporates and event managers. To ensure that we supply only to bona fide businesses, we may ask you for
references during the registration process, to verify that you are or operate on
behalf of a commercial entity.
Please contact us if you are an individual who wants to source items in your
personal capacity and we will try to assist you by providing the names of
stockists.
Products
We provide products "as shown" in our product catalogue.
After you have registered and been provided with a login name and password, you
will be able to see the prices of our products and may place an order request online, as well as specify any customisation and branding requests in the comments section. when we receive the order request, we will contact you to confirm the customisations required, before providing you with a final order and invoice via e-mail. where branding requires additional use of logos, printing of fabrics etc, we will engage with you to ensure the specifications are correct and agreed to, before finalising the order and prices.
You may browse by product category, designer, or material used in
manufacture.
If you would like to source specific products that we do not have in our
catalogue, please contact us as we do provide a sourcing service and we can provide creative customisation and branding options.
Product origins
All our products are hand made and all originate from southern Africa. We provide information about the designers and crafters of the products on
our website, as we believe it adds value for our clients to know the origin
and credentials of the products that we feature. This information may be used in
the resale or use of such products.
Pricing
Clients have the option to see prices and to be invoiced in South African
Rand (ZAR), USD, EUR or GBP. South African clients will be invoiced in ZAR. Value Added Tax (VAT) at 14% is charged on orders delivered to a South
African address. Orders that are shipped to an address not within South Africa
will not be charged VAT.

Finalising an order
To finalise a product order, click on the 'Your order' link, verify the items
and quantities in the order and click on 'Finalise order'. You will be asked to
confirm the shipping address, as well as whether insurance is required on the
shipment.
At this time we are not able to calculate shipping costs automatically
online. You will therefore receive an interim order confirmation via email,
including only the product costs. We will calculate the shipping and other costs
offline and send you a final order confirmation and invoice with the total
amount due, as well as our banking details.
Payment
A 50% deposit is payable on all orders, with the final balance due prior to
shipment of the order, or shipment of the first part of the order where part
shipment is applicable.
Africa Creative will not regard an order as confirmed and will not inform our
suppliers of an order until and unless the deposit has been paid. We will also
not arrange for an order to be shipped until full payment has been received,
unless agreed to by ourselves in advance. Please also see our Terms &
Conditions in this regard.
As all our suppliers are small businesses, cash flow is critical to their
survival and we believe it is only fair to them to require payment in this
manner.
Africa Creative only accepts direct bank deposits or electronic funds transfers
at this time. Our banking details will be provided along with the final invoice.
Whenever a payment is made, please provide us with proof of payment (email or
fax) to ensure that we handle your order speedily.
