Greatheart is a women empowerment and skills development project, bringing together a group of ladies from alexandra township in johannesburg to make hand-beaded and embroidered products. Through training and development, made possible through the sales of their handmade products, the women, who were previously unemployed and reliant on an irregular government grant, are able to put food on the table and restore dignity to their lives.

Greatheart have worked hand in hand with The African Children’s Feeding Scheme for the last nine years and now aim to empower the ultimate caretakers of the children at the shelter in Alexandra Township. They continue to seek ways to create a better life for all in this community.

Greatheart Products are made with love and care. Each Greatheart product has a felt heart or custom felt design attached to it. The felt pieces are hand-crafted and are then sewn onto various products. Each felt piece is completely unique and designs may also be customised to convey specific messages or themes.
